Before this serie, I have spent years of practicing contrast without lines, making color stand forthemselves one beside the other, helping eachother to got more impact thanks to the contrast of the ones beside it.
But I felt like changing this rules, I had to find new esthetics, I wanted to be surprised.
I just came back from Weil am Rhein in Germany, where I’ve been invited among RIPO, SOZYONE, C215, MOSE, TAPS & more.
I presented my latest works, and had to paint a 6×4m mural on which a 2×2m wooden square was hanged in the center.

Just before I came, I started to make some spontaneous free writings on paper. I always loved writing, playing with the meaning and shapes of words and letters, but I spent most of these last years working on the abstraction of realism. During the process of this mural, I enjoyed the organic freedom of playings with words’ curves and rimes.
During September, I’ve been invited to the CHILDREN ART MUSEUM, in New York, USA.
I had the chance to see my Art exhibited beside great artists that i consider as my father such as Hundert Vasser, or Keith Haring.

I went their in order to paint a mural inside the new local of the museum, down Manhattan. I decided to make something that would spread a good message to the kids. A bit of an utopy I’ve always tried to protect against the teeth of cynism. I wanted to believe it is still possible to be naiv. And allow one to be hopefull.
Early September 2011, I went for the third time in Poland.
After visiting and enjoying Wroclaw then Poznan, I discovered Lodz, a northern industrial city of Poland.
URBAN FORMS invited me among M-city, Kenor, Aryz, Satone and Etam.

For the 3rd edition of INFART Festival, I’ve been to the beautyful city of Bassano del Grappa in order to create a mural.

After a wide period of being able to spread colors to the people, i felt like going back to a more black and white style, with just 2 colors fighting each other. Considering the format of the wall, i made a few sketches to find the right composition. And a kneeling man, holding his head in his hands, came to life on the mural.
