REMED @ PURE EVIL GALLERY.
An exhibition of draws, canvas, wall, photos and videos by Remed.

Two weeks ago, i’ve been to London city in order to present my first solo show there @ Pure Evil Gallery.

I was quite excited to discover London by summer…i knew the vibe would be nice & warm, since in any cold city, when the light comes out, people just feel it stronger than anywhere else. I was not desapointed and spent so good time there with my man Charley and my brothers & sisters from there. (Big up to Rafffffaaa, Daphné & Gisela:)

I obviously presented some artpieces on paper and canva, and had the chance to paint the wall down the gallery. So that the expo would be more “complete”.

A few days ago, i’ve read something that i liked but almost already forgot. It was something like : “The Artist is the one who receive then transmit”.

I guess it s the sentence that best explain this image.

So, as you’ve understood through the discover of my words/work, most of my art express duality of life, light and shadow…no good with the ignorance of the bad…gotta accept to be in a loop, to be a loop.

After the “fullfilment of desire”, i felt like drawing some selfportrait again. Because of the fact that i’ve been working a lot on bodys, and because i needed a new start. And, when i don’t really know what to paint (or I should say, when I don’t need to paint but i still want), i paint a face, usually mine even if it s not conscious. I don’t think, I’m just in the “act”. And trhought the spontaneous gesture, truth often comes out.

So here’s the quick sketches that leads to a serie of 3 canvas.

Thanks to Pietro and Francesco (059 represent), i’ve been invited to Modena, in northern Italy, to have a solo exhibition.

Due to the volcano fog, i wasn’t able to come one week before the show, but only one day…so that was quite hard and tight to put up the show in time…The opening was on saturday at 7pm, and at 4pm the gallery was absolutly empty.

But we manage to do everything…would have liked to do more, a bigger painting inside but still i think people had chance to see a large “évantail” of my work.

After having made the serie of draws named “From desire to fullfilment” (which you can see on the previous post), i’ve bought a bigger paper, feeling i had to profite of the fact i was able to draw without thinking to much.

Then quite naturaly, came the ultimate step of the way to fullfilment. The climax of appeased desire. Shared pleasure.
