In august, after having been to Atlanta, i’ve been invited by MAC for the POP UP Festival, in Ancona. ITALIA.
It’s a quite small city, on the east coast, surronded by beaches and hosting a fisherman port. I’ve been invited to do various things, and one of them was to paint a wall quite close to the port.

A few mounths ago, i’ve been invited to Atlanta (Georgia, USA), by EYEDRUM, the French Consulate, Blaki and Monica, to take part in the LIVING WALLS streetart festival.

I’ve been proposed to make a huge mural downtown. 11 stories building, which is around 40m height for 90m width.
When i’ve seen the picture of the virgin wall, i’ve been amazed and scared by the size of this canva. A massive grey mass in the city.
I felt more than honoured and really desire to make something more than good and expressive, positive, and binded to the city.

In August, after having been in Portugal, i’ve been invited to be part of the LIVING WALLS festival in ATLANTA, USA. I went there in order to paint a huge wall but we had some problems before started…so my brother Ripo proposed me to share a wall with him. We both knew our work but we never really had work together before.
We decided to play with letters because we both love it.
We used all the letters of our names R.E.M.E.D.R.I.P.O in order to create an anagram that would give another sense to these letters we choosed to represent our art & self.
And the association of words POEM RIDER came out.

At the end of the trip, still in Lisboa, Miguel, Pedro and Edna proposed me to paint in the Montana Gallery. I was not that much excited about painting inside, a wall with almost no soul, after having been able to have so beautyful and heavy charged supports such as the walls i had previously painted in the old part of city with Pedro or Maria.. I had to work on emptyness, which is quite harder. As being in your studio/room in front of a white canva/page.

Spray on wall. Work in progress. LISBOA. 2010.
